Time:  10 AM – 12 PM PST

Join award-winning artist, Susan Kuznitsky for a four-session pastel class. The focus will be on capturing the light. No matter the season or the subject, it is the light that draws us in. Whether you are a landscape painter or figurative painter you will benefit from this highly popular virtual class. Each class will be focusing on different aspects of color as well as different approaches to the underpainting.  Susan will demonstrate a variety of subjects. You will have the option to paint along from the same image or work from your own reference material. Or just watch and paint later. Demo images will be emailed prior to each class. You will get a link to each demo to download and review. There will be time for personal and constructive feedback during the four-week course. This class is appropriate for all levels of skill.  For more information about this online workshop, please check our Events page.

Each class will begin with a Power Point Presentation covering the following topics:
Week #1 – Color and Relativity – how color is influenced by what color is around it.
Week #2 – Painting ‘White’ – how to create colorful whites in your paintings.
Week #3 – High Chroma – how to use the power of strong color without over doing it.
Week #4 – Complimentary Colors – how to use opposite colors to create visual interest.
